What refresh rate describes

Thermal refresh rate usually describes how frequently image information is produced or displayed, often quoted in hertz. A high nominal number can support smoother apparent motion, but it does not prove better sensitivity, scene resolution, latency or battery runtime. Different systems can also process and record frames at different rates.

Recordings require separate verification

Check whether a specification refers to live viewing, onboard video recording, streaming to an app or an external video output. File format, resolution and frame rate can differ between those modes. Ask whether features require a memory card, a phone connection or current firmware.

Battery life needs conditions

Published runtime figures depend on operating mode, ambient temperature, recording, network radios and battery age. An advertised maximum runtime should not be treated as a guarantee of continuous use with every feature enabled. A useful comparison records both the manufacturer's conditions and the actual battery format.

We intentionally leave these fields blank on unverified catalog entries. A missing specification is more useful than an invented one.
